Greetings from the Dordogne

Yesterday this post card arrived from my grandchildren. It is a cave painting of a horse with a very long tail and Mollie tells me these caves are 1300 years old. I think the card came via snail mail as it was posted ages ago! I am delighted to get the card even if it arrived the day they came home. Yes, Beccy phoned me at 9pm last night to say they were back we only had a quick chat so I am as eager as everyone else to hear about her holiday. Not sure when she will start blogging again but expect it will be soon. Welcome Home and I have missed you all xxx

They were amazing to see, we travelled a long way into the caves to see the art but you weren't allowed to take photos.

What a shame but it's something the children will remember.

WEll, as you know...her battery is dead and they are starving. Other than that, all is well. I offered to send flapjacks but remembered I ate them all.

sam PS and the Post office admits the public pay too much for postage ( since the new system was introduced) but they won't declare how much they make from it!!

Thats a cool postcard. To bad they won't let them take pictures...I suppose that is because they don't want to lose any money? That or they are worried about the light doing something to the drawings.
So glad they are back also.
So strange that Sam got hers before you?

wonderful postcard!
and for some reason dordogne keeps popping up. i must have first read it here, but then i saw it at the library in two different books and then again in something else in print. it's very odd, as i'd never seen it before.
i'm going to look thru the link you left....
