A Pidgeon came calling!

EmBee and I were out in the yard on Sunday afternoon, don't faint were were actually clearing the one of the cellars (he took several car loads to the tip- I should have taken a photo), and suddenly this pigeon landed in the yard. It had a look in the garage and then came and perched on some boxes. As you will see it was not afraid and it was ringed so obviously used to people. I rushed to get my camera and it posed for some photos, then when I went into the kitchen to make a drink it decided to follow me. It took a walk around my breakfast room, the last photo was taken under the table before it went back outside (I was a bit worried it might leave me a little present!!). I threw out some food but it was not interested and after a few more minutes it flew off. I hope it found it's way home safely!!

PS my darling daughter (beccy) insists I should have said 'it had better not crap on my carpet' but I would never offend my readers with this type of language !!!!!

It was very bold; they have lovely colouring around the neck but it doesn't really show up that well in the photo.

As I was talking to you on the phone at the time I think I would change the phrase: 'I was a bit worried it might leave me a little present!' to 'it better not crap on my carpet'. This is from the lady who never swears or allowed her children to use the word crap. And you know what fellow bloggers? She blames it on you!

Ha, you've read my blog. The language wouldn't offend me in the least. Pigeons have such pretty colors on their head. Nice pictures.

hee hee - love the commentary going on.

but I have to agree with Beccy on this one - I wouldn't want that pigeon "crapping" on my floors either.
