Corfu- flowers # 3
I'm sharing pictures of these very pretty flowers, that I saw in Corfu, in the hope that someone will be able to tell me their name. My friend thought they were a variety of alium and they also look like a trumpet lily but I have been searching google and not found a match. I was fascinated by the way they grew, and they looked really attractive, I couldn't stop taking photos.

I'm a flower idiot. I'm guessing lilies. Surprise lilies, maybe?
They sure are pretty! (OMG...that sounded Palin-ish...sorry about that!)
We've always called these "naked lilies" because there are not leaves with them.
I've no idea but they are fabulous!
oooh and the post person delivered me a fabulous book today. Do you know anything about that? ;o)

tiggerlane I was listening to a bit of Palin's latest speech on the news earlier.
Storyteller with a little help from john(my WW source) we have decided they are a variety of Nerine lily.
I know!! I have them all over my garden. They are called Naked Ladies and they are a form of amaryllis. they are a bulb and green, long leaves sprout in the spring and then they die back. in the fall the pink flowers bloom. they grow wild around here and multiply like crazy.
Thank you Alison, they are very pretty I would love to have some in my garden, but I don't think our weather conditions would be right for them!
I see some one else already called their name, Naked Ladies. There is another name, but it has slipped my mind at the momment.

Are they agapanthus?
I was going to say they look like Amarylis, and I see someone already noted that.
They sure are pretty.
